James G. Batsakis 83, of Port Charlotte, Florida, died on July 22,
2010 in Port Charlotte, Florida.

He was born on August 29, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois and came to
Port Charlotte, Florida in 1979. He and his wife Rosemary owned
and operated Ria’s Restaurante in Chicago and Port Charlotte, FL
before his retirement. James was a veteran of WW-II, US Navy, a
member of the Port Charlotte VFW Post#5690 and American Legion
Post #110 .

He is survived by his daughter, Maria (John) Kartheiser of Port
Charlotte, Florida; 2 grand children, Jennifer Kartheiser of Cicero,
Illinois and John Katheiser of Port Charlotte, Florida; 2 great grand
children, Calix and Jalyssa.

Memorial services Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Kays-Ponger
& Uselton Funeral Home 2405 Harbor Blvd. Port Charlotte, FL.
