Deborah Wilhite

Deborah D. Wilhite, 67, of Punta Gorda, FL died January 7, 2012. She was born April 14, 1944 in Rock Island, IL. She moved to this area in 2001 from Senatobia, Mississippi and retired in 1987 from the Outboard Marine Company where she had worked as an Engineer. Mrs. Wilhite was a member of the Burnt Store Presbyterian Church, she loved gardening, scuba diving and was an avid reader.

She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Andrew H. Wilhite of Punta Gorda; her children, Dean (Gwen) Fiacco of Atlanta, GA and Dani (Paul) Smith of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Isiah and Whitney Smith; a sister, Charlene (Jim) Sandberg of Orland Park, IL

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 pm Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 2405 Harbor Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33952. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm till the service time on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, donations have been requested to the St Jude Children’s Hospital at stjude.org.
