Gary Edward Byrnes born in Detroit Mi, on August 12, 1935 passed away on August 25, 2010. Gary is the father of Shelley (Doug) Wuennenberg, Keith (Pat) Byrnes, and Susan Byrnes. He has three grandchildren Andy (Jennifer) Cook, and Scott Cook, and Ashley Wuennenberg.He has three great grandchildren Drew Cook, Blake Cook and Chase Cook.
Gary was a wonderful brother to his sister Sharon and uncle to Kim, Kellie, Karrie and Kirk. Gary was a dear friend to all who knew him.
Gary was a veteran of the United States Army who proudly served his country, He worked for General Motors and then for many years was employed in the restaurant business as a manager, Golf was his passion and he enjoyed watching his Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Tigers.
Funeral services are private with a memorial service to be held at a later date. Memorial donations made to the American Diabetes Foundation in loving memory of Gary would be greatly appreciated.
