He was born November 30, 1920 in Jersey City, NJ to John and Stella Beransky, Sr. He served our country in the US Marines and had been the owner/Vice President of Jackson Steel Products in Mineola, NY before retiring in 1987. He and his wife moved to this area in 1990 from Whitestone, New York. John was an amazing artist of many talents. He was a master woodworker, an excellent painter, and created stain glass art. He enjoyed his time working in his studio, often losing track of the hour and was a dedicated family man.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Helen Beransky of Punta Gorda, FL; their daughters, Jayne Pastula “YFFB” of North Port, FL and Christy “Crystal” (Bobby) Federici of Punta Gorda, FL; grandchildren, Jill, Brian, Tray, Jessica, Shane and Jeremy; great grandchildren, Anthony, Zachary, Sydney, Lexi, Michael, Vincenzo, Isabella and Sara.
A Celebration of John’s life will be held today, Wednesday December 19, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 635 E Marion Avenue, Punta Gorda, FL 33950.
