Opal Ann Ewaldt 79, passed away at her residence in Port Charlotte, Florida on
January 14, 2013.

She was born on December 22, 1933 in Sarasota, Florida to Paul Hancock and Ruby
Johnson Hancock. Opal came to Port Charlotte, Florida from Orlando, Florida in 1960
She was office manager for her family plumbing business before her retirement.

Survivors include her 4 daughters, Janet (Travis) McClain of Port Charlotte, Florida,
Judith Ewaldt of Orlando, Florida, Jenice McClain of Port Charlotte, Florida and Jolene
McDuffie of Punta Gorda, Florida; her 2 brothers, Royce ( Skie) Hancock of Sorrento,
Florida and Barney (Jane) Hancock of Arcadia, Florida; her 2 sisters, Yvonne Clausen
of Orlando, Florida and Pat (Golda) Cheney of Sarasota, Florida; 7 grandchildren and
1 great grandson. Opal was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence (Curly) Ewaldt
and her brothers, Everett and Kenneth Hancock.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Rest Lawn
Memorial Gardens Chapel 1380 Forrest Nelson Blvd. Port Charlotte, Florida. Interment
to follow.
