Dorothy Prevete, 80 of Punta Gorda, FL passed away at her home on July 28th, 2012. She was born May 15, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY. She was the Treasurer of Prevton Offset Printing in NYC for over 30 years before retiring in 1994. Mrs. Prevete had begun wintering here in 1987 before moving here from Freeport, NY fulltime after her retirement.

Mrs. Prevete was a member of the Twin Isles Country Club and founder of the Polish/Italian Open and was an avid golfer. She was of the Catholic faith.

She is survived by her children, William Prevete and wife Lizbeth of Rockville Centre, NY; Steven Prevete of Manhattan, NY and Christine Prevete-Cuevas of Fort Lee, NJ; grandchildren Daniel and Christian Prevete of Rockville Centre, NY as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30pm Thursday, August 2, 2012 at the Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 635 E. Marion Avenue, Punta Gorda, FL 33950.
