Joseph W. Parker, Sr, 72, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away February 16, 2013. He was born Sept 17, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio and moved to this area over 40 years ago from there. He retired as a landscaper and had owned his own business, Joseph’s Lawn Service serving all of Charlotte County. He loved spending time under the oak tree, beer in hand, enjoying time with both family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Cheri Parker; mother, Evelyn Dhume; children, Jerry Parker, Joseph Parker Jr, Eddie Parker, Norma Jones, Chuck Wolf, Richard Wolf and Evvy Parker; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Sharon “Sherry” Henry and Le Ann Lloyd. He was predeceased by his father Edward Parker and children, Mary, Peggy and Darryll. A Memorial Celebration will be held at a later date.
