Online Obituaries Betty J. Sheldon, 84, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away July 11, 2010. She was born January 7, 1926 in Frankfurt, Indiana and moved to this area in 1966 from there. She worked as a Clerk with the Charlotte County, Florida Clerk of the Court and retired in the early 80’s. She was a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge in Frankfurt and enjoyed traveling with her husband Charles.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Charles Sheldon of Punta Gorda; children, John (Connie) Sheldon of Punta Gorda and Vickie (BJ) McClure of Texas; grandchildren, Norma “Janie” Boldt, Myrtis “Missy” Sheldon, Angel Roberts, Hannah Sheldon-Gonzales, Amanda Sheldon and Barclay “BJ” McClure; great grandchildren, Nikki, Steven, Betty Jo, Autumn, Jason, Matthew, Elizabeth, Leah, Zachery, Roberto, Ruben, Selena, Juaun, Taylor, Jorge, Reynaldo, Angelica, Joseph, Andres, plus two in Texas; great great grandchildren, Rylee, Kyla, Jerimey, Kaitlynne, Deleane and Ayden; brothers, Jack Busey of Frankfurt, IN and Roland Busey of Delphos, OH.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am till 12 noon, Wednesday July 14, 2010 at the Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 635 E Marion Ave, Punta Gorda, FL 33950. A Graveside service will be at 2:30 pm, Wednesday July 14, 2010 at Charlotte Memorial Gardens in Punta Gorda with the Rev Bob Carlson officiating.
