Grandma Kays

Esther “Grandma” Kays, 94, of Punta Gorda, FL went to be with the Lord on March 20, 2012. She was born September 24, 1917 in Monrovia, Indiana and moved to this area in 1966 from Mooresville, IN. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Pt Charlotte, where she had been a Deacon, Usher and Choir member. She also enjoyed being in the church’s Woman’s Club.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Loretta Kays; grandchildren, Mark (Diane) Kays, John Kays, and Shannon (Billy) Gorman; great grandchildren, Jessica, Mike, Ryan, Kimberly, Calla, Thomas, Michael and Laura; great great grandchildren, Cassidy and Kellen and a nephew, Dan Kays. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle Kays and grandson Mathew.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm till 6:00 pm, Monday March 26, 2012 at the Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 635 E Marion Avenue, Punta Gorda, FL 33950. The Funeral Service will be at 9:00 am, Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the funeral home with the Rev Rick McDonald officiating. Interment will be at Joshua Creek Cemetery.

Funeral Information

Visitation is Monday, March 26 from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Homes in Punta Gorda. Service will be on Tuesday, March 27 at 9:00 a.m. at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Homes in Punta Gorda and burial at Joshua Creek in Arcadia.
