She was born on December 6, 1923 in Kingston, Jamaica to Charles Johnson
and Cassandra Manning Johnson. She came to North Port, Florida from
California in 1992. She was a member of South Biscayne Baptist Church.
She is survived by her 5 children, Errol Rodney of Lancaster, Kentucky, Novelette
Mills of Queens, New York, Denton Rodney of North Port, Florida, Claudette
Bettis of California and Philip Rodney of Kingston, Jamaica; 3 brothers, Egbert
Johnson of England, Ernest Johnson of Queens, New York and Lee Johnson of
Jamaica; 3 sisters, Imogene Johnson of Long Island, NY, Joyce Johnson of Jamaica
and Ruby Johnson also of Jamaica.13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Visitation Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00
Noon at South Biscayne Baptist Church. Entombment will follow at Gulf pines
Memorial Park in Englewood, Florida.
