Ellis Leo Ducote 87 of Port Charlotte, Florida, passes away on
February 23, 2012 at Hospice House in Port charlotte, Florida.

He was born on February 28, 1924 in Cottonport, Louisiana to
August Ducote and Melinda Chenuert Ducote. Ellis came to Port
Charlotte, Florida from Forked River, New Jersey in 1983. He
was a retired custodian at Liberty Elementary school in Port Charlotte,
Florida and a veteran of WW-II, US Navy.

He is survived by his daughter, Melinda (Bert) Vanderhorn of Port
Charlotte, Florida; his grand daughter, Melanie Caparelli of Port
Charlotte, Florida; his 3 brothers, Elliott (Naomi) of Alexandria,
Louisiana, Cliston (Peggy) of Tifton, Georgia and Donald (Lucille) of
Alexandria, Louisiana; his sister, Eloise Aymond of Alexandria,
Louisiana.

Grave side services Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Royal Palm
Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Punta Gorda, Florida with Military Honors.
