Richard Lee Couchot, 72 of Englewood FL and Bellefonte KY passed away peacefully in his FL home surrounded by his family on Sept. 3rd. He is survived by his wife, Katharine, sons- John T. Couchot of McKinney TX; Dr. Michael D. Couchot of Ashland KY; daughters- Joan E. Floyd of Oviedo FL and Ann M. Burge of Stevenson Ranch CA; siblings- James Couchot of Piqua OH, Roger Couchot of Maple Grove MN, Judith Quinter of Piqua OH, Diane Winkler of Hokes Bluff AL and Barbara Jeffers of Piqua OH.
He graduated from University of Findlay in 1963 with an AB degree in Business Administration where he played football, basketball and baseball and later established The Richard Lee Couchot Football Scholarship Fund. He also studied business law at Miami University in Piqua OH. Richard worked in small and commercial loan business with American Finance Company in Piqua and Dayton OH, Richmond and Indianapolis IN and over 20 years with Ashland Financial Services in Ashland KY.
Richard was a very loving, generous husband, father, grandfather and friend. His generosity helped over 40 young people go to college. His hobbies were fishing, golf and spending time with his family. He was also an able handyman who could fix almost everything.
Funeral Information
A Funeral Mass will be held 10 AM Sept. 16 at St. Raphael Church, Englewood followed by burial in the church gardens and a celebration of life in the Parish Center.
