Joyce Marie Stavredes

Joyce Marie Stavredes, 60, of Punta Gorda, FL passed away suddenly August 27, 2010. She was born October 7, 1949 in Chicago, IL and moved to this area seven years ago from Coconut Creek, FL. Four years ago, she retired as a Mortgage Banker and was currently employed with Gregory Court Reporting in Naples, FL. She was an artist and sculptor and was looking forward to volunteering within the Punta Gorda community in her retirement later this year. She was a parishioner of San Antonio Catholic Church.

She is survived by her children, Tony Stavredes of Punta Gorda, FL and Gina (J.R) Coletti of Naples, FL; grandchildren, Timothy and Cody Gaddis and Vincent Quast; her mother, Emily DeMora of Chicago, IL; siblings, John (Marge) DeMora, Nancy DeMora, Nadine Stachon and Sue (Jim) Risby all of Chicago, IL and her close friend Sandra Kay Murphy of Naples, FL.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm till 6:00 pm, Thursday, Sept 2, 2010 at the Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 635 E Marion Ave, Punta Gorda, FL 33950. A prayer service will be at 5:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home with Deacon Mike DeMeglio officiating. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Friday, Sept 3, 2010 at the San Antonio Catholic Church, 24445 Rampart Blvd, Pt Charlotte. Burial will follow at Indian Springs Cemetery. The family requests donations in memory of Joyce be made to the Punta Gorda Historical Society, 118 Sullivan Street, Punta Gorda, FL 33950
