Robert (Bob) William Flesch, 73, formerly of Oviedo, Florida, currently of Venice Florida was called home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ July 16, 2010 while in the loving care of Venice Hospice House staff.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, M. Claudette and two children, daughter Tamara and son-in-law James Ennd and son Stephen J. Flesch; 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, a sister Alice Holcomb of Fresno, CA; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his son Derek William, his grandson, Devon Flesch, his parents, nephew Jeffery Holcomb and brother-in-law Paul Holcomb, Jr.

Bob was born July 14, 1937 in Chicago, IL. to William E. and Margaret (Traub) Flesch

At the age of 13 he decided he wanted to serve the Lord and began his educational preparation in the Concordia educational system.

Bob was Minister of Education and Youth from 1965-1967 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Walnut Creek, CA; Principal and Teacher from 1968-1971 at St. Luke Lutheran School, Cabot, Pa; Principal and Teacher from 1972-1976 at St. Mark Lutheran School, North Tonawanda, N.Y; Principal from 1976 -1988 and Parish Assistant from 1988-1999 at St. Luke's Lutheran School and Church, Oviedo, FL. when he retired and moved with his wife to Venice, FL.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, Counter Intelligence Corps.

Bob was a member of Lakeside Lutheran Church, Venice, FL.

Funeral Information

Visitation will be Thursday July 22 from 6-8 p.m. at Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home Oviedo Chapel. Interment will be Friday July 23, @ 10 a.m. at St. Luke's Lutheran Cemetery followed by a service of Celebration of Life and Ministry at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Oviedo, FL. at 10:45 a.m. A reception will follow at Lutheran Haven Hall.

A service of Victory will be held at Lakeside Lutheran Church, Venice, Fl. on a future date to be announced.
