Richard “Whitey” Hensen 78, of Englewood, Florida died July 23, 2012. He was born May 2, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to Arthur and Martha (Barr) Hensen.
He moved to the Englewood area in 1985 from Waukegan, Illinois. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Whitey is survived by his wife, Jan Hensen; his son, Scott A. (Lori) Hensen; daughters, Billie Jo Harbison of Englewood and Shelley M. (Ron Negrich) Price of Englewood; grandsons, Nathan A. Mamalis and Nicolas A. Mamalis; granddaughters, Ashli R. Price and Alexis M. Price.
Funeral services will be private. Lemon Bay Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of arrangements.
