George Noe went to be with our Lord on Oct 28th 2017. He passed over peacefully in his sleep.
He was born in Opa Locka, FL on Sept 16, 1949 to John and Alice (Murphy) Noe. They moved to Punta Gorda when George was less than a year old. He graduated from Charlotte High in 1967. He worked in commercial fishing and crabbing industry from his early teens.
He retired from crabbing after 40 yrs due to his health problems. He wrote several books and had one published. He also wrote about the early fishing methods in Charlotte Co.
He loved Jesus and wrote many Christian poems and songs sharing the Good News of Salvation. He shared them with friends and family. If he knew you or about you,
you were prayed for every day.
George is survived by his wife of 40 yrs Marita (McKeehan) Noe, his son Marc (Sasha) Noe, grandchildren Ethan and Carissa, and two faithful canine companions; Hal and Sunshine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alice and John Noe; his older brother John Noe Jr; sister-in-law Mable Noe; and nephew Michael Noe.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 18th at 10am at Liberty Community Church, 2759 Wylam Dr and Veterans, North Port, FL 34288, follow by a graveside service at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 1380 Forrest Nelson Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33952 where George will be laid to rest.
