Cynthia A. Dees 70 of Punta Gorda died on June 10, 2018 at Blake Medical Center in Bradenton, Florida.
She was born on January 18, 1948 in Punta Gorda, Florida to Thomas H. Howze and Gladys Edwards Howze.. Cynthia was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Punta Gorda, Florida.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years Donald K. Dees of Punta Gorda, Florida; daughter, Melissa (Chris) Jericka of Punta Gorda, Florida; her daughter-in-law, Stacey Dees of Topeka, Kansas; her 3 sisters, Sophia (Jim) Wondergem of Punta Gorda, Florida, Sylvia (Ed) Keeler also of Punta Gorda, Florida and Shelia Austin of Troy, Maine; her 4 grandchildren, Madison, Allegra, Astra and Aslan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Cynthia was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Dees who died August 2, 2017.
Visitation Friday, June 15, 2018 from 2:00p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Services will start at 3: p.m. at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home 635 East Marion Ave. Punta Gorda, Florida. Burial will follow at Indian Springs Cemetery in Punta Gorda, Florida.

My condolences to Donald and her family. I didn't know Cynthia for very long like most but while I worked with her it was very apparent that she was kind and compassionate in her believe of God. She will be missed but she has her wings in Heaven.

I have known Cynthia for many years. We went to church together at Trinity Baptist as well as school and shared many good times. My prayers are with all of you, Heaven gained a precious lady.

I knew Cynthia since Jr High..also from Church. She was a wonderful person. So very sorry that she is gone too soon. Sending prayers to Donald and the whole family.
I knew Cynthia since seventh grade. I sat next to her at our class reunion and we talked about the past and the future. We talked about Ronald fighting a major battle and how blessed she was for her grandchildren. Bless the whole family and know she arching over you all.
